    Upon graduation from Brigham Young University, Mary Beth and her husband, Steven, moved to Southern Nevada and have been here for 42 years. They have nine children and at last count, 38 grandchildren!! Mary Beth was selected as Nevada Mother of the Year in 2009.

    Mary Beth was elected to three terms on the CCSD Board of Trustees, after which she received the CCSD Excellence in Education Hall of Fame award. She was later elected to two terms on the Clark County Commission.

    She has volunteered in many community organizations, including: Her home church, Silver State Schools Credit Union Board of Directors, Mater Academy Board of Directors, Public Education Foundation Board of Directors, Boy Scouts Board of Directors, the Las Vegas Philharmonic Advisory Board, and the UNLV Department of Education Advisory Board, and the Nevada Parent-Teacher Association.

    Susan Brager has called Las Vegas home for over 50 years. She and her husband Ron, have four children, 13 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. Susan served on both the CCSD School Board Trustee and the Clark County Commission for three terms each.

    Susan has been a Real Estate Agent for 31 years and recently titled Top 500 Real Estate Professional in Clark County for 2020. Susan was named Mother of the Year in 2019 by American Mothers. She continues to serve the community as Trustee at Southern Hills Hospital, Public Education Foundation and ABC Pac and SEEDS Board.

  • Religious Freedom and Human Dignity Coordinator

    After earning her Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from USC, Patsi Johnson and her husband, John, moved to Las Vegas in 1991. They are the parents of 5 children and 16 grandchildren! They enjoy serving within their family, community and local congregation.

    Patsi has been involved in education for over 40 years and has served in various teaching and school leadership positions from Elementary, Middle and High School Principal to Assistant and Associate Superintendent.

    She has also served as the leader and trainer for ministering over 1,000 women. She recently retired from serving as Superintendent of Schools of the Jordan School District.

    Tammy Wood has been a resident of southern Nevada for 56 years. She represented Nevada in the Miss Teenage America pageant in 1976. She enjoyed serving the community as a registered nurse for 37 years. In her church congregations she has taught children, teenagers, and adults.

    She has also served as a coordinator for birth parent volunteers in the Southern Nevada region working with unwed pregnant women. She and her husband have 3 married sons and 13 grandchildren.

    Heidi has been a force for good in our community for many years. She has worked to harmonize family community standards within the gaming industry, to empower parents to see their strength in maintaining control in their children’s education, and to train students and citizens how to lobby and work with elected officials.

    Heidi is a reading specialist and her special passion is teaching adults with learning disabilities. She is married to Michael Wixom and they are the parents of six determined and strong-willed daughters and ten grandchildren, all of whom she adores.

    Shelly and her husband both grew up on the east coast but moved their family to Nevada over thirty years ago. She loves her Henderson community and it has been a wonderful place to raise their four children.

    She spent 17 years volunteering on various PTA boards as well as several years on the Sunset PTA Council. Shelly had an opportunity for serving on the Middle School Parent Advisory Committee and as a High School Choir and Basketball Mom. She put her love for parks to use as she served on the Henderson Park and Rec Citizen Committee. She gets much joy from serving at her church and has served as the president of the children youth camp and women’s organizations as well as teaching early morning seminary.

    Her hobbies include scrap booking, sewing, photography, Pinterest creations and making the world a better place for her grandchildren.

    Bruce L. Woodbury was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. After graduating from Stanford Law School, he returned home, settling in Boulder City and beginning a law practice. He is the longest serving Clark County Commissioner in history, having been appointed to fill a vacancy in 1981, and being returned by voters in seven consecutive elections until he was term-limited in 2009.

    Bruce is well known for his work on flood control and transportation, with the Clark County Beltway named in his honor. Bruce has received numerous honors for his honest and diligent service. He and his wife, Rose, have seven children.

    Sheila Moulton was raised on a potato and wheat farm in Rexburg, Idaho. She is married to Larry Moulton and together they have raised their 6 children right here in Las Vegas.

    Sheila has served in leadership roles in her Faith and Community, including 12 years as a CCSD Board member and 6 years on the LVCC Library Board. She is currently serving on the Nevada State Public School Charter Authority. Sheila loves her Family, Faith, and Country!
